Edinburgh Council Libraries research

"Qualitative research (involving focus groups with Edinburgh residents) will be carried out to identify and explore the attitudes and behaviour of potential customers of the Edinburgh City Council’s library services. Focus groups have been selected to provide:
a. Information on how specific groups of people think or feel about the service;
b. Greater insight into why certain opinions are held;
c. Help in improving the communications/marketing and design of services/products;
d. A means of evaluating existing services/products; and
e. Insights for developing strategies for outreach & improvements."
